Day 9. Quilpie. 7.7.24

Morning bush walk along the river. 

A first for us travelling the Diamantina Development Rd between Charleville and Quilpie. Stopped at the Cooladdi roadhouse for a coffee and to checkout the ghost town. The dirt tracks weren't suitable for towing a van so we had coffee and pushed on.

Sunshine was being replaced with cloud. Rain is predicted for the next couple of days.

The caravan park in Quilpie is full so we are staying out at the lake. We have been here before and really enjoyed it. We are booked in to the van park tomorrow night. 

Couldn't resist trying out the artesian baths. They weren't here last time.

Hand fed Damo the Emu. He's 3.5 yrs old. 

We had goat 🐐 curry for dinner in the camp kitchen watching my beloved swans go down by 3 points. The communal fire was on and lots of happy campers not worried about the rain.
